The new millennium generation is facing the dark side of the process of Globalization and its highly competitive requirements: There are no more self-made men and women (those who strengthened the middle class during the two previous centuries.) Poverty, violence, addictions and frustration have increased in our country since low-income families could not afford social mobility for their kids through College education.
Up to date, less than a 10% of children born into low-income families in the early 1980s have earned a four-year degree, while high-school dropout reaches about 25%. So, it's urgent to offer our youth attractive occupational options to help them to overcome educational disadvantages, and at Wings of Love, Inc. we're working to develop creative projects based on the intensive use of the Information Technologies (IT) resources.
